PavementPro Seal recently completed a large parking lot maintenance project for Bethesda Church in Oklahoma City. The project covered approximately 100,000 square feet and included asphalt repair, extensive crack sealing, two coats of sealcoat, and parking lot striping.
Because of the size of the property and the need to maintain access to the church, our crew completed the parking lot in two large phases.
About the Client
Bethesda Church is located in Oklahoma City and has a large parking area that sees regular vehicle traffic throughout the week. Maintaining the asphalt helps protect the pavement while also keeping the parking lot clearly marked and ready for members, visitors, and church activities.
Work Completed
Before sealcoating, our crew addressed the existing pavement issues throughout the property. We completed several repairs and used more than a full pallet of crack sealer to fill cracks across the parking lot.
Once the repair and crack sealing were complete, we applied two coats of sealcoat across approximately 100,000 square feet of asphalt. The parking lot was then restriped to restore the existing stalls and pavement markings.
Completing the Project in Phases
With a parking lot this size, planning the work in phases was important. Rather than closing the entire property at once, we divided the project into two large sections.
Each phase included the necessary crack sealing, sealcoating, curing, and striping before moving on to the remaining section. This allowed us to complete the full 100,000 square foot parking lot while keeping the project organized and minimizing disruption to the church.
