PavementPro recently had the opportunity to work with Life.Church South Broken Arrow on a large-scale parking lot maintenance project. The lot spans approximately 300,000 square feet and, while it had been sealcoated in the past, it was beginning to show the usual signs of wear and tear, most notably cracking from age and weather exposure.
A Solid Foundation with Some Needed Care
The existing pavement was still in good shape thanks to prior sealcoating maintenance, but the network of surface cracks needed to be addressed before they worsened. Our team spent four days carefully sealing cracks throughout the entire lot. We used three full pallets—about 6,000 pounds—of hot rubber crack filler. Some areas required multiple passes to eliminate “sinkers,” ensuring a thorough, lasting seal.
Full Lot Striping for Over 300 Stalls
Once the crack sealing was complete, we moved on to striping. The final day was spent restriping the entire lot, which included more than 300 parking stalls. Clear, professional striping not only improves traffic flow and safety but also enhances the property’s overall appearance.
