PavementPro Seal, an OKC based asphalt contractor, partnered with the Highland Farms HOA to restore key sections of the neighborhood’s Black Hawk Rd. The original streets were built directly over clay, which is naturally unstable. Over time, that weak subgrade led to cracking, settlement, and widespread pavement failure. The goal was to rebuild the worst areas with a solid foundation for smoother, longer-lasting pavement.

About the Client
Highland Farms is an HOA community in North Edmond, consisting of single-family homes. The HOA board and residents were highly engaged throughout the project, coordinating access and helping phase work so people could get to and from their homes safely.

Work Completed
- Cul-de-sac repave + main drive spot repairs: Targeted asphalt repair stabilized distressed areas along the main drive and rebuilt the cul-de-sac.
- Full-depth reconstruction where needed: Removed failed asphalt and excavated 12″ of clay to eliminate the unstable layer; installed 8″ of road base to create a strong foundation.
- New asphalt surface: Performed commercial asphalt paving with 4″ of hot mix asphalt, compacted to spec for density and smoothness.
- Site cleanup and preservation: Swept the site to clear construction debris, crack sealed the existing asphalt to slow water infiltration, and edge sealed all new patches for a tight bond and clean finish.

Closing Thanks
Thank you to the Highland Farms HOA for the trust and teamwork, and a special thanks to the residents for your patience and cooperation during construction. If your community is dealing with clay subgrade or aging pavement, PavementPro Seal can help plan a practical, phased solution that lasts.
